"I live on the East Coast of England (UK), in Lincolnshire and my house is about a mile from the beach.  Living in the English countryside has many advantages and my garden attracts many species of wildlife, from foxes and birds of prey to many insects.  However, this is my first sighting of a Hummingbird Hawkmoth.  It has visited my garden on three occasions in the last two weeks, taking nectar from my purple Verbena flowers.  It look me a while to identify the Hummingbird Hawkmoth from my wildlife books and having surfed the net, have realised just how privileged I have been in being able to watch it at such close quarters and in flight."
